Dear Reader,This story began when I saw the real No. 8 Bristol House, and heard voices from the past. In the novel those voices become two men from Tudor times. The plot they reveal began in 1535, and now threatens 21st century Annie Kendall –historian, ex-lush – who goes to London, thinks she's found love and will get her life back, but may lose it instead.
