Dear Reader,7 GRAMS OF LEAD is a technothriller that begins with a reporter discovering that he's been implanted with a subminiature electronic eavesdropping device (i.e., a bug). This is based on my own true experience while reporting at CIA HQs in 2008. In my case, it turned out to be the result of an unabsorbed internal suture from sports-related wrist surgery rather than a terrorist plot I had to stop.
