EA Benedek
Dear Librarian,
Following the publication of a story about counter-terrorism I wrote for Newsweek in 2001, I was approached by a high-level Israeli counter-terror official. He asked me if I would consider writing a book about airline security. I realized right away that I wouldn't be able to tell the story I was led to by him and various FBI officials and federal sources without giving away their identities. To tell the truth, I had to write fiction. RED SEA is the book that emerged. It brings you inside the mind of a master counter-terror commando, a journalist, and an FBI agent as they try to stop a terrorist hell bent on destruction. Counter-terror expert Steve Emerson writes: "A whirlwind ride. Based on solid, up-to-date research."

"EA Benedek is the new voice of suspense novels of the
highest order." Nelson De Mille
"Not only a heart-stopping read, it informs as much as it entertains." Naomi Ragen.
Combining the nuts and bolts of a technothriller with the emotional resonance of young adventurers seeking truth and honor, Benedek's very readable, densely plotted, and cagily realistic sagasqueezed into two heart-pounding weekswill have readers anticipating further books. Strongly recommended. –Library Journal
