Dear Librarian, People often ask how much of LUCKY ME is based on my life—I like to answer that all the good stuff is true and anything bad… well naturally I made that up! One thing that is true is that my writing career was kindled by a mother who took me weekly to the children’s section of our local library, before it was popular to do so. The result is my first novel, LUCKY ME, which has been described as a funny, generational story that explores the challenges of family, parenting, love and loss with humor and sensitivity, in the style of Elizabeth Berg and Eleanor Lipman. LUCKY ME has received praise from The Chicago Tribune, New Orleans Times Picayune and was the Redbook Book Club Selection for September, 2005.
