Charles Brokaw

Dear Librarian,

THE LUCIFER CODE, my sequel to THE ATLANTIS CODE, takes Harvard professor Thomas Lourds overseas for what he imagines will be a quiet academic consultation with a beautiful fellow scholar.

Any outing with Professor Lourds is always a journey of great adventure. I find the places that I research in antiquity fascinating and mysterious, and the adrenaline rush of writing the stories is something I hope that readers feel, too.

This time I set the story in one of the world's great cities, and one of its oldest, Istanbul, the Crossroads of Christianity. In its modern incarnation with nearly 13 million people, it's a cultural and cosmopolitan treasure house. It was a pleasure and an education to bring it to life in this story as Professor Lourds runs through its many layers, usually with armed men chasing him. I loved writing this book, and hope you love reading it. Click here to win a FREE copy for yourself!

All the best,
Charles
