Dear Librarian, AT FIRST SIGHT is my most unique novel to date. Chick Best, a fifty-five year old, dot com executive finds his life in total freefall. His business is crashing, his wife is cheating on him, his sixteen year old daughter is dating an outlaw biker. Could it get much worse? You bet... While on vacation in Hawaii with his family, Chick sees a beautiful woman half his age. At first sight, his life spirals completely out of control. Set against this backdrop of sexual compulsion, I explored a theme I've wanted to write about for ten years. As our world becomes more dangerous and complex, our culture seems to be focusing more on trivialities. Celebrity has become more important than accomplishment. Chick Best is the ultimate personification of this cultural decay. He has no values and fits perfectly into our shallow culture. But without moral values, compulsion can easily turn murderous.
