Gary Chapman

Dear Librarian,

Why another book on love? Most books focus on "getting the love you need." This book is not about getting love, but giving love. More specifically, it is a book on becoming a loving person so that love becomes a way of life. After 35 years as a counselor, I sincerely believe that the key to success in relationships and in life is discovering the power of loving others.

After writing The Five Love Languages over a decade ago, I realized that people need more than information. They need a change of perspective. In short, love needs to become a basic life theme.

In LOVE AS A WAY OF LIFE, I identify seven characteristics of love, which when pursued will change the way you view people. When you enrich the lives of others you find the most satisfying form of success.
