Dear Librarian, I love a good romantic mystery, and it's also fun for me to write a marriage of convenience story to show how love is a choice. I'm also a nut for the West. Love the scent of sage, the starkness of the desert, the blue bowl of sky overhead. My husband and I visited the Big Bend area of Texas and were hooked. We loved all of it! Well, except for the tarantulas crossing the road. ;-) I woke up one night with the image of a runaway bride in a bedraggled wedding dress on a train. I married a soldier, and there is nothing more magnetic than a man in uniform! I began to mull that idea over in my head, and LONESTAR HOMECOMING was the result of that mental image, and what better place to set it than the desert of West Texas?
