Thomas J. Craughwell

Dear Librarian,

Saints aren’t born; they’re made. And many, as SAINTS BEHAVING BADLY reveals, were made of pretty rough material. Publishers Weekly said my table of contents reads like a Most Wanted List... thieves, embezzlers, con men, sex addicts, gang leaders, even mass murderers.

I’ll grant you this isn’t the usual lives-of-the-saints fare. But if the stories start out shocking, all the endings are reassuring... after all, eventually these bad boys and girls repented. Which just goes to show that if they could become saints, there’s hope for all of us.

One last thing, I’ve just learned that SAINTS BEHAVING BADLY is a selection of Book-of-the-Month Club, Quality Paperback Book Club, and History Book Club.

Thanks for getting the word out.
