Cyndia Depre

Dear Librarian,

AMANDA'S RIB was written for people who, like me, enjoy books with deep characters, a knotty puzzle, and a bit of humor to relieve the tension. This is not a fast-paced action novel, although it does have a few twists and surprises. My protagonists are thoughtful, yet manage to irritate one another when they try to communicate. Just like in real life.

Amanda Winslow has been acquitted of her husband's murder. Attorney Jack Lindsey isn't sure the verdict was correct, and is determined to learn the truth. The story follows his search for answers. A sub-plot involves domestic violence, and the lasting, often invisible, scars left on the abused. AMANDA'S RIB is my attempt to say, "Please stop blaming the victim."
