Dear Librarian, I was born in San Francisco, left home at seventeen to study in Greece, met my future husband (my teacher), and made a life that spans two cultures, two continents, two languages. The twenty-three short stories in my book are short. People whose brains have now become accustomed to new forms of technology will find them to be bites of something delicious, provocative, challenging and satisfying.. Louise Steinman, author of The Souvenir, says: "Her haunting, compressed narratives are as elegant and detailed as Persian miniatures.
