Seth Greenland
Dear Librarian,
When writing SHINING CITY I was inspired by the work of Tom Wolfe and Martin Amis. It was a thrill when Publisher's Weekly wrote: "Uproarious...Greenland's novel is entertaining and intelligent."
SHINING CITY is about what happens when a law-abiding family man who is down on his luck inherits a dry cleaning business that turns out to be a front for a high priced call girl ring. It sounds outrageous (and it is!), but here's what Kirkus said in their starred review: "Rarely do novels that are so ruthlessly satiric have such a warm heart. Greenland achieves a deft balance between the preposterous and the plausible."
Go to www.sethgreenland.com for the book giveaway essay contest, and to see my author video. You'll be in for a few surprises and maybe a laugh or two.
I will visit library book groups within driving distance of Los Angeles. For groups in other areas, I will be happy to participate by phone.
Thanks, Seth Greenland
