Laura Hayden
Dear Librarian,
Every time we visited the Avondale Branch of the Birmingham Public Library, I complained that my mother had her own library card but I didn't. Mrs. Bentley, the librarian explained that to apply, I had to be able to write my own name. So I did and walked out with my first card and armload of books.
I was four years old.
So to librarians everywhere, thanks for feeding my passion and that of countless other booklovers. It's because of you that I'm celebrating the release of my eleventh novel, RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
It's about the first female President of the United States and her White House Chief of Staff, Kate Rosen. Kate's a woman of faith, dealing with the seamier side of politics. When her loved ones are threatened, can she rise above the temptation of power and sidestep scandal to protect them?

Thanks,
Laura Hayden
