Sarah Hina

Dear Librarian,

My favorite spot in Paris is a bookstore: Shakespeare & Co., that little piece of America carved out by Sylvia Beach and the Lost Generation. Henry James lived too early to frequent its corners, but his classic, Daisy Miller, inspired me to write PLUM BLOSSOMS IN PARIS, a twenty-first century story of an American woman in Europe.

Neuroscience student Daisy Lockhart has never been short on brains, but after her boyfriend dumps her, she is short on dreams. On a mission towards self-discovery and healing her wounded heart, Daisy travels to Paris. Upon her arrival, she meets Mathieu, a mysterious intellectual with a carefree spirit, and Daisy begins to experience the passion and adventure she craves. Daisy's tense battle between love and a burgeoning freedom forces her to choose what she really wants.
