Susan Hubbard
Dear Librarian,
Thanks so much for the work you do. My sister Margaret was a librarian, and she nurtured my life-long love of books. I like to think that my writing honors her.
My new book, THE SOCIETY OF S, traces the education and coming of age of Ariella Montero—a rather mysterious young woman trying to find out who she is. The story is laced with references to other books and writers from Poe to Kerouac to Keats and Yeats. I want more people to read more, and I hope my book provokes them to do that.
Publishers Weekly wrote that the book "delineates Ari's world of innocent and uncertain adolescence with uncommon poignance and forgoes sensationalism for sensitivity."
In May I'll be on the road to promote THE SOCIETY OF S; check out www.susanhubbard.com and www.myspace.com/thesocietyofs for details. Please come by and say hello!
With esteem,
Susan Hubbard
