Dear Librarian, THE WHITE HOUSE BOYS - AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY is more than just a story about what happened to me and hundreds of other boys. This is a story about a little boy who (as a man) came back fifty years later to tell the world what we are doing to our kids today. Do we want our children to write such a book tomorrow? It's not the abuses that cause most of the damage; it is the memories of those abuses that cause the inner sadness. I sit wondering today why the policeman, teacher, minister or the librarian could not see my despair. I was inspired to write this book not just because of what happen to me but because of the secret hidden looks I see on many innocent little faces while giving talks in many Georgia schools.
