Dear Librarian,
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE began with a single character, Arthur Dunn, a big, peaceable lad growing up in the thirties on a farm in northern Canada. I gave Arthur a handsome younger brother, Jake, who turned out to have a fondness for knives – which was every bit as sinister as it sounds.
A second storyline, set in the sixties, developed around the naive and idealistic son of the local doctor. Aged fifteen, Ian Christopherson falls in love with Arthur's wife. He thinks she is the perfect woman, incapable of doing wrong.
So - sibling rivalry plus the dangerous idealism of youth; when the two stories collide, the result is explosive.
I hope you enjoy it!
