Debbie Macomber

Dear Librarian,

I collect Nativity scenes, so when it came time to write my annual holiday gift hardcover, it was no surprise that I crafted a story reminiscent of the miracle of Christmas.

In A CEDAR COVE CHRISTMAS, a very pregnant Mary Jo Wyse arrives in this quaint Washington community searching for her baby's erstwhile father. But, alas, the ne'er-do-well is nowhere to be found, the last ferry for the day has left, and there is no room at the local inn.

Local residents Grace and Cliff Harding offer Mary Jo a room over their stable, which currently houses animals for the local Nativity pageant. Later, Mary Jo goes into labor, while her frantic brothers—the three Wyse men—arrive looking for their sister. Add one helpful paramedic, and in the ensuing chaos Cedar Cove earns its nickname, "The Town You'd Like to Call Home."
