Joseph Olshan
Dear Librarian,
Italy has continued to lure Americans, who are not only intrigued by Italian art and culture, but also are fascinated by the Italian lifestyle. I have written a novel about an expatriate American translator that takes place in an historical Tuscan villa. Despite the fact that Russell Todaro has a good command of the language, he still finds himself lost in translation, confused by Italian politics and its social framework and etiquette and most of all, duped in love by one wrong person after another. I hope that you will recommend my book to people who are looking for a literary escape, in this case to Europe a` la Henry James.
