Tony O’Neill
Dear Librarian,
With all the grumbling about the authenticity of memoirs these days, I hope you'll consider mine a breath of fresh air. Well, in a sense.
My debut, DIGGING THE VEIN, was researched in the most thorough fashion imaginable. It's based on my years as a heroin addict in Hollywood in the late 90s. From LA's most battle-scarred neighborhoods, this is my unflinchingly honest account of everything I had and lostof what it is to be addicted in America. It's definitely too real for Oprah!
Readers who would like my book are also fans of William Burroughs, Bukowski, Dan and John Fante, or Irvine Welsh.
Noah Levine (Dharma Punx): "Tony has cooked down the life of an addict and injected it into these pages" and John Giorno described my book as “mining diamonds for the crown of the king of hell.”
Cheers,
Tony O’Neill
