Dear Librarian, One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting the library in my small hometown in Indiana nearly daily. Even today I can sense the stillness of that domain and smell the wonderful musty, dusty odor of the books. I participated in every reading program that little library offered. I never dreamed that one day my own book would be on the shelves, and readers would check it out and escape into another world through the wonderful adventure of reading. In The Shadow Of The Sun King, my first novel based on my family genealogy and set in 17th century France, depicted the persecution of the French Huguenots by King Louis XIV's tyrannical Catholic government. Now, the second book in the series, A PRISONER OF VERSAILLES, due for release in August, continues the saga of the Clavell family and their desperate bid for freedom. These two historicals are novels I believe your patrons will enjoy. The books are entertaining, fast-paced and educational.
