Paul Pearsall, Ph.D.

Dear Librarian,

As a self-help editor, it is rare that I am affected by an acquisition in the way that AWE: The Delights and Dangers of Our Eleventh Emotion has affected me. Dr. Paul Pearsall showed me that awe has long-lasting, hard-punching impact on our health, our psyche, our beliefs, and our exploration into the meaning of life

Together, he and I experienced a transformation through the development of this profound book, so it is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul Pearsall passed away on July 13th, only two months prior to the publication of AWE, a book he called "his life's work."

While I thought I understood Paul's message, it is only through his untimely death that I grasp the urgency of incorporating awe and sustaining its presence in my life. I hope that you will read AWE and savor in Paul's message: Life is filled with moments of tragedy and triumph – and to be in awe of both is what makes it worth living.

Thank you for your support. A review copy will be sent to 10 libraries. Simply email: kimw@hcibooks.com.
