Dear Reader, It's been 17 years since I was shot in the head by Amy Fisher, and you may be wondering why now I am sharing my story with the world. A revelation in a conversation with my son two years ago made me realize that I was married to a sociopath for 22 years. Not understanding what that meant, I went on a quest to find out all I could about this insidious mental disorder. I discovered that approximately 1 in 20 people have this untreatable condition that causes havoc to anyone who is associated with them, be it a spouse, child, parent, friend or co-worker. In sharing my story about my life with a sociopath, I hope to bring awareness and knowledge to this subject and help people who may be in these frustrating relationships to understand what they are dealing with and how to end them.
