Home Author Archive For Librarians Authors: Get Included Colleen Coble Dear Reader, I love a good romantic mystery! Especially one that incorporates a marriage of convenience. I love writing a story that illustrates the reality that love is a choice. I woke up one night with the image of a runaway bride in a bedraggled wedding dress on a train. I married a soldier, and there is nothing more magnetic than a man in uniform! I began to mull that idea over in my head, and LONESTAR HOMECOMING was the result of that mental image. I'm a nut for the West. Love the scent of sage, the starkness of the desert, the blue bowl of sky overhead. My husband and I visited the Big Bend area of Texas and were hooked. We loved all of it! Well, except for the tarantulas crossing the road. ;-) The story of the prodigal son is one of my favorites too, and I love the theme of a homecoming in every sense of the word.
