Barbara Fischkin
Dear Reader,
When I wrote the novel CONFIDENTIAL SOURCES, I began with basic events in my own life: In 1987, I left New York to be a foreign correspondent with my husband. We had a son in Mexico City, and another in Hong Kong. Then we came home to face the hard reality that the older boy had autism. Rather than write a memoir, I wanted to tell a story that flowed. To do that I had to let my imagination soar, make things up, call it fiction. I hope you enjoy meeting my family's "fictional alter-egos" in this funny book about serious matters. See photos of the real-life characters who inspired them,
along with comments from Luanne Rice, Meg Wolitzer, Ana Menendez, Marti Leimbach and Peter Eisner, please visit my website at www.barbarafischkin.com.

I would be delighted to attend book clubs in the New York metropolitan and suburban areas. I would be happy to call-in to book clubs as well.
