Dear Reader,It was the strange true story on which THE ANGEL MAKERS is based which inspired me to write the book. The novel details a peculiar kind of madness that gripped the women in a small, isolated village over a period of around ten years, and writing the novel was my attempt to try and understand what circumstances might have brought it about, as well as what may have been going on in the heads of the women in question. I would hope that readers are drawn into the story, intrigued by the setting and gripped by the plot, but most importantly I hope that readers can relate to and sympathise with the characters, despite the strange—and often terrible—things that they do.
