This belief as well as the knowledge that Love challenges the world's definition of success inspired me to write THE PERFECT LOVE SONG: A HOLIDAY STORY. Writing about the beloved characters Jimmy Sullivan and Charlotte Carrington from my novel, When Light Breaks, I found a story of love, forgiveness and redemption. Jimmy finally falls in love and writes a song for Charlotte. He is soon catapulted into a world of fame, slowly losing sight of all that is real. Traveling from Palmetto Pointe, SC to Galway, Ireland, we discover the truth inside Jimmy's "perfect" love song. This story overflows with myth and legend as well as some wise advice from a mysterious narrator. This novella holds a special place in my heart as I revisited the places and myths of these characters as they help Jimmy understand that material gain is nothing compared to love – real love.
