Margot Livesey

Dear Reader,

My latest novel, THE HOUSE ON FORTUNE STREET, explores the question: What happens when you love the wrong person?

The novel revolves around a long friendship between two women, and also explores their relationships with boyfriends and fathers.  Abigail and Dara feel fortunate to become friends at university but ten years later, when Dara moves into Abigail's house - the house on Fortune Street - their luck begins to run out.  The story of this unraveling is told from four different points of view that contradict and combine to gradually reveal the whole story.

THE HOUSE ON FORTUNE STREET was named a best book of 2008 by Entertainment Weekly, the Chicago Tribune, and the Miami Herald.  It won the 2009 L.L. Winship/PEN New England Award.

I do hope you enjoy it.  To win free copies, or to invite me to visit your book club, please visit my website at www.margotlivesey.com.

    Best wishes,
