Charlie and Mallory are forced to put their personal demons aside as they follow a twisted path that leads to an old unsolved murder and a vengeful killer with a heart of stone. At Father Kevin's urging, Robert establishes the Mercy Street Foundation, a private firm set up to investigate missing persons cases that have gone cold. He'll hire the best and brightest from different areas of law enforcement to crack the unsolvable cases and bring home the lost – living or dead. Robert's motive isn't totally altruistic: eighteen months ago, his wife and only child disappeared, and despite the best efforts of law enforcement, no trace of his family has been found. I think MERCY STREET has just the right balance of suspense, mystery and romance to make it a perfect summer read.
