Alexandra Bracken

Dear Librarian:

When I left home in Arizona to attend college in Virginia, I didn't know that I would be trading my yearly 300 days of sunshine for endless semesters of misty rain, six Nor'Easters, and one particularly nasty tropical storm. By the time I sat down to write this novel during my sophomore year, it had finally sunk in that weather, much like our world, is wildly unpredictable.

In BRIGHTLY WOVEN, Sydelle comes to a very similar conclusion when the young, mysterious wizard Wayland North chooses her as his prize after ending a long drought in her village. Along with the strangely powerful quakes and storms that follow their path across the kingdom as they try to prevent a terrible war from starting, Sydelle and North must confront wizard duels and horrible curses—not to mention their growing feelings for one another.

Best,
