Dear Librarian: After many NYT Bestsellers and awards, I decided to reach for my ultimate goal: Write a novel that is remembered fifty years from now. After all, I'm willing to admit openly what every writer secretly hopes, that someone will remember them after they're gone. In this spirit, I present NIGHTINGALE. Many have said that I've done it, but I know it will largely be up to you and people like you to decide. I'd like to hear what you think. I wrote about a young man named Bron, alone in every way—abandoned at birth, no family or friends—who meets an extraordinary girl and learns that he's not even human. He's something more.
