Dear Librarians,

As a mother of four young kids, I've witnessed just how mean girls can be to each other. As a writer, I wanted to write a series of funny books that dealt with just that kind of real real-life drama our kids have to deal with. It's called CONFESSIONS OF A SO-CALLED MIDDLE CHILD and its based on my own middle child (and has since been called "a must-read book for all young girls" by Dr. Laura).

In the first installment, 12-year-old Charlie Cooper (who I like to think of as Junie B. but older) has to learn how to overcome her middle child self and stop bullying her way through life. In book two, WATCH OUT HOLLYWOOD! Charlie tells a little white lie to get something she wants. She thinks no one will find out. But they do, of course. And the little white lie costs Charlie everything she cares about.
