BY THE TIME YOU READ THIS, I'LL BE DEAD is a book about bullycide—suicide as a direct result of bullying. With the advent of cyberbullying, we're seeing an escalation of harassment and suicide. More than ever, young people live out their pain in isolation. I didn't write this book for shock value. My purpose was to engage readers, educate them on the effects of bullying, and provide a jumping off point for discussion. If we can find those young people who are suffering, who are considering death to be their only hopeful ending, then maybe we can intervene in time to find them the help they need.
