Dear Librarian, Great Expectations is a childhood favourite of mine. I’m also familiar with the Pacific Island of Bougainville having visited immediately after the military blockade was lifted. I never imagined myself combining the two things to make a novel. Somehow, almost in spite of myself, Great Expectations and Bougainville found one another in that surprising place we call the imagination. The result is MISTER PIP.
