Amy Koppelman

Dear Librarian,

Is saying you're sorry enough? That question was rattling around my head as I wrote my second novel. I'm still not sure (but I don't think so). I SMILE BACK, asks the reader to answer this and many other questions that deal with the legacy of trauma. ISB isn't an easy novel but it's honest. I hope you will take the time to look at it.

Thank you,
Amy Koppelman

"[Koppelman's] brave and challenging look beyond appearances of beauty to the ugly reality of a disturbed mind will remain with readers long after they've finished the book. Highly recommended for literary collections." -Library journal
