Sam Moses

Dear Librarian,

For most of the two intense years it took to research and write AT ALL COSTS, there were some 200 history books, biographies and memoirs piled around my desk. Nowhere among them did I find the story told here, about the importance of the island of Malta to the outcome of World War II.

I'd like to think I've found a missing link to the story of the war. I'd also like to think that readers will find AT ALL COSTS to be a page-turning, character-driven adventure story, wrapped in the definitive account of the most heavily defended and heavily attacked naval convoy in history.

I'm gratified that Mark Whitmore, Director of Collections at the Imperial War Museum in London, has said, "Sam Moses has skilfully blended the vivid recollections of many eyewitnesses with a wealth of original documentary research to produce an immensely readable and authoritative account of this crucial operation."

I have 10 free copies to give away to readers at random. Write to me at GiveAway@atallcoststhebook.com or go to www.atallcoststhebook.com and then click on GiveAway.

(star) Kirkus Reviews: "...Moses takes readers directly into the heat of battle." (star) Publishers Weekly: "...exciting, imperative read for anyone interested in WWII." Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "intense, riveting, brilliant"

Thank you for reading,
Sam Moses
