Cassandra King

Dear Reader,

As a lonely teen in love with reading, I discovered Daphne du Maurier's novel, Rebecca, one of my favorites of all time. A few years ago, while wandering through the overgrown gardens of a house in the mountains I'd rented for the summer, I stumbled upon the final resting place of the previous owner, the woman who had created the wildly beautiful but neglected gardens. And thus the idea for MOONRISE was born, this writer's homage to both a place and a book I love.

Anne Rivers Siddons has said MOONRISE is "a fantastic, not to be missed novel," and it's an OKRA pick for Fall 2013.

I'm giving away five books. Write to me — — to win!
