Dear Reader, One thing I like about historical mysteries is that you actually end up learning something while researching and writing a novel. I thought I knew everything about the struggle for Irish independence, but I found out more than I had bargained for. Like the main character, I ended up with more questions than answers, and more uncertainty than I began with.
