Dear Reader, I appreciate the interest in my books as I continue to strive to write accurate details of police work with the humor I see every day as a working cop. I look at each book like it's a new case that I've picked up. I think out what the hero will do and what might trip him up. Police work is not like you see on TV. ESCAPE CLAUSE is based on my personal experiences investigating different crimes related to prisons. The story is fictional but the people in the story are right out of real life. When State Cop Bill Tasker arrives at Manatee Correctional he thinks he's investigating a murder, but things are rarely what they appear to be.
