Anne Germanacos
Dear Reader,
I was born in San Francisco, left home at seventeen to study in Greece, met my future husband (my teacher), and made a life that spans two cultures, two continents, two languages.
These short stories that navigate turbulent waters from American shores, Aegean islands, and both sides of the Bosphorus are short: People whose brains have now become accustomed to new forms of technology will find them to be bites of something delicious, provocative, challenging and satisfying.
Louise Steinman, author of The Souvenir, says: "Her haunting, compressed narratives are as elegant and detailed as Persian miniatures. The gods live in these rich tales, and so do 21st century wives and husbands, sons and daughters, priests and artists."
Please enter my contest to win one of five autographed copies by going to my website and clicking on "email Anne." Leave me a comment or ask me to translate something into Greek and you're automatically entered into the contest.
