Linda Mercadante

Dear Reader,

BLOOMFIELD AVENUE is a spiritual memoir, a slice of life, highlighting the difficulty of being from a bi-religious home where no direction was given or identity offered to children. I hope to show that children need a 'place to stand' spiritually and religiously, even if they choose to go in another direction when they grow up. I hope that 'mixed marriage' partners will take seriously the need to provide some unitary foundation for their children, rather than letting them 'make up their own minds.' The book also deals with infertility, domestic violence and other struggles and problems common to women today. The book shows how hard it is for a girl to come to her own identity, after being molded to fit a societal stereotype.

I'd like to invite you to visit my book's web site where you can find a book description, review quotes, my author event schedule, and other information. I'll also be giving away 10 signed copies of BLOOMFIELD AVENUE, so visit today! www.cowley.org/ or write me at mwright@cowley.org.

Thank you,
Linda Mercadante
