Dear Reader, In The Shadow Of The Sun King, my first novel, released in September, 2008, and based on my family genealogy, depicted the persecution of the French Huguenots by King Louis XIV's tyrannical Catholic government in 17th century France. Now, the second book in the series, A PRISONER OF VERSAILLES, due for release in August, 2009, continues the saga of the Clavell family and their desperate bid for freedom. As I wrote both of these books, I asked myself the question, "What price would I pay for my faith? Would I have the faith that my ancestors possessed to stand courageously for my beliefs?"
