Dear Reader,

I see the gorgeous guys on the cover got you to take a peek. Thanks for checking in!

Now that I've got your attention, I have a confession.

I don't think "real" literature has to be depressing or boring. And I don't think "commercial" lit has to be superficial and fluff. Some of my favorites - Terry McMillan, Alisa Valdes Rodriguez, and E. Lynn Harris - tackle universal themes and issue in entertaining ways in their novels. I try to do the same in my work.

With RIGHT SIDE OF THE WRONG BED, I've written a fun book, but also a thoughtful book.

It's a smart and stimulating novel that takes us on a wonderful ride through black and Latino gay couples in Los Angeles. It addresses the question - when opposites attract and differences arise, can a couple keep the romance going, or are they simply two people waking up on the right side of the wrong bed?

I call it the "dysfunctional couples who don't know they are, but all their friends and family know" book. I'm sure you, or someone you know, can relate.

If so, I think you'll enjoy the "boymance" of Kenny Kane and Jeremy Lopez in RIGHT SIDE OF THE WRONG BED. You may even enjoy my first novel, DOWN FOR WHATEVER.

Send me an email at fsmith827@gmail.com. Mention that you learned about me from AuthorBuzz and I'll enter you into a drawing for a chance to win one of three autographed copies of RIGHT SIDE set aside for AuthorBuzz readers.

Also, I'd love to visit or talk with your book club, organization, school, or group. I'm based in California, so West Coast is easiest. Everything else is possible. Let's talk.
