Dear Reader,
BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS: An Oral History of the American Red Cross, is a collection of 29 first-person accounts of Red Cross volunteers and staff from fifteen states, plus 70 photographs and illustrations.
The book includes recollections of WWII veterans, “donut dollies” who spent a year boosting soldiers’ morale in Vietnam, an AIDS activist whose son died of the disease and volunteers dispatched to disasters nationwide, with inspirational stories from 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.
If the Red Cross has touched your life, send an email with your story to contactus@estreetpress.com for a chance to receive a complimentary copy of the book. I’ll select 5 recipients and sign and send the winning copies personally.
$1 from the sale of each book benefits the Southeastern Mississippi and Southeast Louisiana chapters of the Red Cross.
Happy Holidays!
